A Touch of the Irish Print
Wednesday, 25 July 2007

The latest bar to open in Puerto Alcudia brings a touch of the Irish to Calle de la Torreta, that’s the street leading down from the big car park, near Hotel Piscis.

The Shamrock, AlcudiaThe Shamrock is decorated in typical Irish pub style and offers a huge range of beers (Guinness included naturally) and ciders on draught and bottled, as well as a long list of whiskies and other spirits. The bar is run by Fernando Casali who will be well-known to Alcudia drinkers since he has worked in other Irish bars in the port.

Now Fernando, helped by wife Patricia, has opened his own place and the Shamrock aims to offer a true pub atmosphere along with TVs showing all the major sporting events that appeal to Irish and Scottish viewers.

The bar, which is open from 7pm to 4am every day, also has a dartboard and opens earlier at the weekend especially for those sporting occasions. So if you fancy a pint of Guinness while you watch the latest hurling action get over to the Shamrock and say hi to Fernando.
