Yes, British television cameras are on Mallorca once more, and could be in your area this month! This time it is ITV who are doing a follow-up to their successful travel series “Wish You Were Here”, which was first broadcast in the 1970s and presented by Judith Chalmers. Thames TV intend to film the destinations which featured then and show them as they are now, as well as talking to British residents in those places about the changes they have seen in the past 30 years. The programme has the working title of “Do You Still Wish You Were Here?” and will be presented by well-known celebrity Mark Durden-Smith, who is not only the face of ITV’s Rugby World Cup coverage this year but also the son of Judith Chalmers. The programme makers are keen to talk to anyone who has lived on Mallorca since the 1970s/1980s, (or come on holiday regularly since that time) ideally owns property here, and is still passionate about the island. If you fit the bill and would be prepared to talk on camera about how much you love Mallorca, give Catherine Allum a call on (00 44) 207 861 8245, but make it quick, the crew will be filming here from Monday August 13th. |
