Apart from the famous battle re-enactment and the many and varied concerts in Pollensa’s La Patrona fiesta, there were several art and photography exhibitions.

Art GroupOne of the most interesting of these was a joint exhibition of works by Puerto Pollensa artists Alfonso Lloeffler and Francisca Magraner.

The exhibition was particularly interesting not only for the quality of the art on display, but also for the venue, the Convent of San Jordi which is rarely open to the public in this way, and for the fact that a percentage of the profits from picture sales etc will go to aid Pollensa nun Teresa Canaves with her missionary work in Rwanda.

Work by Francisca MagranerYou have until August 12th to view Alfonso Loeffler’s dream-like paintings and Francisca Magraner’s bold use of colour  —  the two styles complementing each other perfectly  —  at the Convent of San Jordi, next to the church and hotel of that name, Pollensa.
