A tombola stall where people can win instant prizes is bringing in some much-needed funds for Victoria’s Animal Refuge and the Asociación Planeta Equino which offers horse therapy to disabled children.

The stall, left, is set up on alternate Thursdays in one of Alcudia’s tourist complexes and holiday-makers are happy to help local charities while attempting to win a prize. Victoria and Dr Rey Castillo of APE send their thanks to all the businesses and individuals who have donated prizes for the tombola, and to the hotel complex for the use of their facilities.

* Lulu’s Bar & Bistro in Pollensa is also helping Victoria’s Refuge with its “book swap” scheme, so if you need fresh reading material go along to Lulu’s (up the street between the church and Cafe Espanyol) and browse along their shelves at your leisure while savouring some of their home-made goodies!
