The English-Speaking Residents' Association in the North of the island is always ready to help local charities and its annual bazaar to be held on Sunday November 18th in the Santo Domingo Cloisters, Pollensa is no exception to this rule. The bazaar will be raising money for two worthwhile causes, the Asociació Planeta Equino which provides horse therapy as a means of helping disabled children and adults and is based in Alcudia, and the Asociació es Garrover, a self-help group for schizophrenics in Inca. The bazaar will have stalls devoted to all the old favourite items that people love to rummage and browse through; bric-a-brac, clothes (plus a smart boutique section), books, plants, home produce, and arts and crafts. There will also be a prize raffle and tombola, cooking and craft demonstrations and a Winter Wonderland display of Christmas items and games. New this year, ESRA North have decided to rent out table space to local businesses, so if you would like to promote your goods at the ESRA Bazaar, contact Gary Hardley on 680 188 745 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , but be quick, only the first six who apply for a stall will get one! Anyone who has items to donate for sale at the bazaar (not electrical goods, though, please) can take them along to the Talk of the North office in Calle Llebeig, Pto Pollensa or call Gary Hardley on the number above. ESRA has also recently started up its own website, go to www.esramallorca.com to see for yourselves all the things the organisation is involved in island-wide.
